About Ana Olson

Ana’s Bio I was born in Mexico City. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Business (Major in Marketing) at Universidad Anahuac and moved to Canada to continue my education. I attended Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ontario and The University of Lethbridge in Alberta. While at Confederation College I participated in an internship program at the Resource Development Office. At The University of Lethbridge I obtained a Certificate in Management while working as a Research Assistant. In 2002 I worked for Buchanan Lumber Sales. I established new markets in Mexico and researched opportunities in Latin America. I developed important relationships with government organizations, and business associations in Canada and abroad. I participated in several international trade missions, conferences and matchmaking business sessions. As a young woman, I often was a speaker at schools. In 2004 I was requested to deliver the main speech at a Worldfund Gala Dinner in honour of Mr. Carlos Slim. A fundraising event that brought over $1 Million US dollars for education improvements in Latin America. I was then invited to participate in the UN Commission for Social Development in New York and in 2007 I delivered the keynote speech to a distinguished group of philanthropists at a fundraising dinner in honour of Mr. & Mrs. Jeb Bush. It was just natural for me to become the Director for Mano Amiga Foundation, a not-for-profit organization focused on providing education to underprivileged children in Mexico and Latin America. I focused on increasing the organization’s market in Mexico and abroad. As my life journey continued I dedicated ten years to my children. I focused all my talents, abilities, and love, in raising two beautiful children while running a private in-home childcare center. Currently working in Health Care and continuing my education.
