I have several years of experience working in the security industry, with a focus on ensuring the safety and security of both public spaces and retail environments. Currently, I hold two positions, one as a loss prevention associate for Stop and Shop and the other as a Security Guard in Central Islip School District.In my role as a security guard for a school district, my primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This involves monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and responding to any security incidents or emergencies that may arise. I also collaborate closely with school administrators and local law enforcement agencies to develop and implement security protocols and emergency response plans.Working as a loss prevention associate for Stop and Shop, I am responsible for preventing theft and minimizing losses within the store. This includes monitoring surveillance cameras, conducting undercover surveillance, and apprehending individuals involved in shoplifting or other fraudulent activities. Additionally, I work closely with store management to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to reduce theft and improve overall security.Over the years, I have gained valuable skills in conflict resolution, crisis management, and communication. I have a keen eye for detail and am adept at identifying suspicious behavior or potential security threats. My experience in these roles has also honed my ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions in high-stress situations.I have consistently exceeded performance expectations in my role as a loss prevention associate, leading to a reduction in theft-related losses for Stop and Shop.
