As Country Holding Officer (CHO) at ABB Portugal, I am responsible for leading the country’s governance framework, ensuring fiduciary integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with ABB’s global strategic priorities. Since assuming this role in January 2023, I have focused on reinforcing ABB’s license to operate, while enabling sustainable and profitable growth in the Portuguese market. My career at ABB spans several years and includes senior finance leadership roles such as Country Finance Manager (CFM) and Motion Local Business Controller. These positions have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of financial strategy, risk management, and operational performance across complex business environments. In my current capacity, I serve as the primary interface with external auditors, legal and tax advisors, and government authorities. I oversee statutory and fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of our operations. I also play a key role in supporting ABB’s ESG agenda, embedding sustainability into our local strategy and execution. My leadership philosophy is rooted in value creation through people.
