Hi, I am Anand Poddar Partner and Director at Poddar Group of Companies, Ex-President of BNI, Cuttack, and at the core, a problem solver. I started my journey with many trials and errors, creating businesses and failing at it - but that never stopped me from taking a step further. My journey began with a focus on tyre trading, where I leveraged market insights to pioneer new standards of customer service and satisfaction. Over time, I expanded our ventures into diverse sectors such as real estate and warehousing, driven by a relentless pursuit of growth and opportunity. Over the last 20 years- I have diversified and grown the Poddar group into 6 companies working at tyre detailing and warehousing and more-Partnered with Tata to establish an authorized service station, employing over 100 dedicated individuals- Witnessed business grow to an impressive annual turnover of 100Cr- Took the reins as President of BNI, Cuttack, transforming a modest 38-member chapter into the largest in Odisha, with a staggering 101 members- Secured spots among the Top 10 dealers in India for esteemed brands like JK Tyres, Apollo, and CEAT, consistently for the past 5 years- Managed a customer base exceeding 1L annually- Ventured into vehicle recycling, establishing a state-of-the-art RVSF center with support from the Government of India. I've had the privilege to collaborate with industry giants such as CEAT, JK Tyres, and Bridgestone, crafting innovative solutions that have earned us accolades, including awards for the highest sales. Over the years, I've managed distribution for Bridgestone Tyres (2015-2019) and CEAT Tyres (2010-2016). And have been truly grateful to be recognized with numerous awards by JK Tyres for my contribution towards excellence, Odisha’s Silpa Ratna Award, and many more. What keeps me going? The success, the growth, and the scalability came with titles, recognition, and support -it is this one quote by Gaur Gopal Das that keeps me going. ‘Leadership is about speaking less and doing more, it’s the art of daring, caring and sharing’ As a business leader, my journey is far from over.
