In Steel Making Shop (190T capacity) at Tata Steel Meramandali location from 1st Aug 2022. • Providing best possible Refractory bricks for the BOF based on the wear profile. • Providing technical service to achieve the contractual target life/guarantee life of BOF – heats and 170 heats Sleeve Life. • Having gained steel making knowledge at JSW Steel Ltd, providing process related technical solutions for the Tata Steel Operations. • Planning in coordination with BOF operation Head the maintenance of the converter with gunning masses, Hot patching and Brick patching based on Converter condition. • With Commercial team at site planning the procurement of Refractory Materials required with proper following up of material consumption at site. • Was an active member of the team which was sent for the final commissioning of SMS (250T Converter) at JSPL, Angul. • Safety observation in shop floor and authorizing written safety permit for various maintenance works. • Worked as Ladle heating furnace and RH In charge and processed various grades like Billet, API, LCAK, Structural, HSLA, Auto grade, IF and NOES grade. • Experienced with complete knowledge of Converter blowing process (Primary Refining). • Worked as Tapping in charge for converter tapping in shift and suggested effective procedure of tapping for special grade like API, IF, MC Grade, HC Grade, Deep drawing grade, Welding rod grade (Billet). • Handled Weekly Production and Quality meeting regarding performance of shop with respect production target, quality and customer complain. • Communication from BF-> Pouring Station-> HMDS-> BOF-> LP Bay->LHF>RH>CASTER • Minimization of Re-blows (<5%) • Planning smooth running of process without any delay and obtain sufficient time for maintenance work of machineries and instruments. • Minimization of NCOs and Diversions (Chemistry Related) • Minimization of Delays due to Logistics etc. • Controlled the manufacturing cost by finding the root cause of the problem by data analysis. • Monitored the process details and to give feedback whenever diversion occurs to rectify the various abnormalities in steel.
