About Ananthan Krishnan

Hi, I am Ananthan, a travel professional, Founder of Vendorics helping local travel vendors with business growth. I started my career as a travel agent in a small business in the year 2010. Spending a year there and then moving on to the typical boring travel BPOs in Bangalore a few years. In the year 2015, I moved to Doha with a highly paid job in hand. Life seemed secured yet draining working for many despotic bosses and bloodsucking managers. A traumatic personal incident left me in a pause and asking existential questions like what the essence of life is and what is the purpose of my life which led me to quit the prison of a 9 to 5 job. After a year of wandering in the middle east and many failed attempts, I moved back to Bangalore with a stern determination to start building an empire from scratch. The business plan was quite simple. Tap into the underutilized activity tourism market in India. The initial plan was to target inbound and national tourists; however, this was far easier said than done and was unattainable in the initial phase with the funding issues. It was serendipity that I had a request from one of the top-graded schools for a short adventure trip for their students. This led to a profitable venture giving shape to the dream business. And yes, Travandre Adventure and experience is a dream project founded in 2018. Travandre aims in becoming an excellent solution for both local travel vendors and activity tourism in India. And it was a great start for us. In 2 years period, we grow the company from zero to 20 top brands dealing business continuously, with 5k travelers a year. Here in 2021, we are entering the travel market with a brand new, the most sophisticated platform for local travel vendors, resorts, homestays and DMCs, to help them to grow their revenue in times, at a lower cost.
