About Ananya Srivastava

I’m currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights Law at National Law School Bangalore a direction that feels both natural and important as I continue to explore how systems can better serve people. Before this I studied Political Science and History at St. Stephen’s College where I began to seriously engage with questions about power justice and how societies function (and often don’t). Recently I interned at the Jaipur Municipal Corporation with the Government of Rajasthan working on urban development projects under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. It was my first real taste of what public service looks like up close- messy complicated but also incredibly meaningful. Over the past couple of years I’ve also been preparing for and writing the GATE exams. I was fortunate to secure an All India Rank of 56 in Philosophy (2025) and 80 in Sociology (2024) which opened doors to further opportunities including being shortlisted for programs at IIT Bombay IIT Delhi and other institutions that I deeply admire. What drives me is a genuine curiosity about how change happens and how it can be made to happen better. I’m especially drawn to work that lives at the intersection of governance international cooperation and social equity. Whether through public institutions global organizations or research spaces I hope to be part of efforts that make a tangible difference. I also care about community. Over the years I’ve actively volunteered to teach the underprivileged and those experiences have reminded me how powerful learning can be when it’s shared and grounded in trust. I’ve been lucky to have mentors who’ve encouraged me and I try to pay that forward by being someone others can lean on learn with and grow alongside. I think the best work happens when people bring not just their skills but their perspectives questions and lived experiences to the table.
