About Anca Bejan

Hello. I have been working as a journalist since 2002. I got hired for the first time while I was still a first-year student at Faculty of Philosophy & Journalism. I started as an editor at the daily newspaper Jurnalul Național, which was led at that time by Marius Tucă. There, I did an internship coordinated by Julius Constantinescu in the Investigations & Social department. After this testing and exploring of the journalism profession, I wanted to find an editorial office where I could work as an employee. The first "station" was another daily newspaper called Independent, whose editor-in-chief was Horia Alexandrescu. I worked there for about six months, initially under the direct guidance of another great journalist, Alex Revenco. I quickly desired a change and a challenge because I had easily reached a quite high position in the company's hierarchy considering my age and education back then: head of the ShowBiz department. I then distanced myself from the press for a few months and worked as a PR person at one of the most important record labels of that time, TransGlobal Music (MTV Romania). After a few months of showbiz journalism, I was very interested in understanding the "internal workings" of this industry, seeing artists' contracts, and understanding how the entertainment world operates. However, the desire to write again was stronger, so I returned to the press after a short break, this time as a reporter in the Showbiz department of the newspaper Libertatea, the first tabloid in Romania. At that time, the leadership team consisted of Răzvan Cornețeanu, Adrian Halpert, Cristian Stancu and Ana Niță. worked at Libertatea for four years, and then I accepted the challenge of creating the most read TV guide in Romania for Adevărul Holding. I joined the journalistic team at the newspaper Click, which was mostly made up of former colleagues from Libertatea. I served as a coordinating editor, department head, and deputy editor-in-chief. In 2014, I started attending acting courses again (at the Comedy Theater under the guidance of actress Delia Nartea). I listened to this calling, which I first encountered in the tenth grade of highschool. Subsequently, I pursued studies at the Faculty of Acting - UNATC (National University of Theater and Film „I.L. Caragiale"), and I completed a Master's degree in Biblical and Ecclesial Communication at the Catholic Theological Faculty, where I also took undergraduate courses in Biblical Studies.
