About Anda Ray

Anda Ray is currently a Vice Flotilla Commander serving with the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Florida. The Auxiliary supports the U.S. Coast Guard to increase boating safety and protect marine life and the environment. She serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross, Florida Space Coast Chapter. Anda also serves on the Committee on Ministry with the Central Florida Presbyterian Church (USA) and as an elder leading community engagement at her local church. She retired from the Electric Power Research Institute's (EPRI) where she served in several roles, including leading their international engagement in 30 countries, the Chair of the Board of Directors for EPRI International, Inc. and as Senior Vice President for Energy and Environmental Research, and Stakeholder Engagement. During that time, Anda was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Energy to serve on the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Electricity Advisory Council. She was also a member of the European Distribution System Operators (E-DSO) and was EPRI's first Chief Sustainability Officer. Prior to EPRI, Ray was at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), for over 30 years, serving in a variety of executive-level positions. The breadth of her utility leadership experience includes nuclear, carbon-based, hydro power and renewable energy, engineering services, transmission, environment protection, construction, R&D, government affairs, land resource stewardship, emergency preparedness and corporate strategy. Anda has served on several Boards of Directors, been a featured speaker many U.S. and international engagements, and testified before the Senate. She has given interviews on several media outlets, including 60 Minutes, and co-authored several papers. Anda has a degree in Nuclear Physics and an advanced degree in Solid State Physics. She held a private pilot’s license and underwater scuba certification. She currently lives in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where she is an avid Stand-up paddle boarder.
