Background
About Andee Dooley
Andee Dooley, MS, BC-DMT, LCAT, is an interdisciplinary researcher, consultant, dance/movement psychotherapist, and published author working in global arts, health, and wellbeing. She delivers data-driven, equity-centered insights to explore how arts and culture can provide innovative solutions to sustainable development goals and offer hopeful reimagination and restoration to individuals, communities, and organizations in crisis. Andee has a breadth of experience across corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. She worked with the Goldman Sachs Executive Office during the financial crisis recovery to build resilience in client strategy, ethics, and culture. She was on the frontlines of Memorial Sloan Kettering during the COVID-19 pandemic where she conducted NIH-funded clinical trials of novel, opioid-sparing pain management protocols, and where the Ethics Committee named her one of 25 Bioethics Ambassadors advancing health equity and culturally responsive cancer care. As part of The Junkin Group, Andee has been awarded grants by Creative Forces, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and US Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, and by the World Education Services Mariam Assefa Fund. The US Embassy and US Ambassador to Rwanda honored Andee’s work supporting refugee youth through inclusive arts with global NGO MindLeaps in partnership with UNHCR. The Issroff Family Foundation named Andee among the WeareWISE Women Leaders in the Social Sector. Andee has served on the boards of The New York Foundling and American Cancer Society’s Dance Against Cancer. Andee’s first and most memorable role was serving as a caregiver to her mother, whom she lost to ovarian cancer. Her experiences as a foster youth inform her passion and stewardship in economic, social, and poetic justice. Andee lives in NYC with her pomsky, Stella.
