About Anders Vredin

I am a senior central bank economist with almost twenty years of experience from research and policy at the Swedish central bank - currently being senior advisor at the Riksbank's Monetary Policy Department. My academic background includes an associate professorship at the Stockholm School of Economics. As a teacher, advisor and manager, I strive to help talented people reach their full potential, both individually and in teams. My mission is to bridge the gap between economic policy and academic research, based on the conviction that science makes the world better. I have devoted considerable time to knowledge-sharing between the Riksbank and other countries' central banks. My analytical work in recent years has focused on the role of central banks, their capital and independence, exchange rate policy and the links between monetary and fiscal policy.
