About Anders W. Edwardsson

I am a Swedish-American author, analyst, and political strategist who focuses on history, political theory, and the U.S. Government. I hold an M.A. in History from Uppsala University in Sweden and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. I bring a transatlantic perspective to political analysis and strategic thought. Over the course of my career in journalism, writing, and political consulting, I have authored hundreds of articles and editorials on topics ranging from U.S. domestic politics and foreign policy to cultural trends and historical interpretation. My work has appeared in many publications, and I am the author of four books. My latest book, Radical Betrayal (Defiance Press, 2023), builds on my doctoral research into presidential rhetoric and political identity. It examines how modern political leaders have invoked—and distorted—the concept of American exceptionalism to suit partisan agendas.
