Writer Margaret Atwood said, “A word after a word after a word is power.” She was right. I help people harness that power to develop a successful word-based business. I’ve held many writing positions – writer, editor, author, instructor – and through them all, I have discovered my true calling. I’m passionate about helping women and non-binary people move their writing from a hobby to a profession, from passion to profit. As a business coach, I encourage my clients to unapologetically strive toward their goals, be ambitious, and achieve their dreams. I’m well-versed in the process of transforming the joy of writing into a thriving business, having navigated that difficult and often lonely path myself. My special skill is guiding new writers. I know what works. I’ve streamlined the process to avoid pitfalls while sharing best practices. My clients learn how to price their services, market them, and find clients. I offer a VIP retreat experience at my home in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We meet at the farmhouse, set goals, strategize, eat delicious fresh food, enjoy nature, and share in the glow of a bonfire. It’s a focused and intimate setting with practical and actionable items designed to propel your writing from passion to profession.
