About Andra Jackson

Graduate of Winthrop University with a degree in Sports Management and Human Resources. I have a passion for leveraging sports as a catalyst for positive human development and social impact. In my most recent role at Carowinds I was able to assist in the HR office in a multitude of different HR avenues, strongly in recruiting and onboarding processes in a fast paced environment. This allowed me to gain great entry level experience and has set me up to grow in this field as an aspiring HR professional. In my role as a Facility Intern at the City of Rock Hill, SC, I oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center, a sq. ft. facility that hosts city athletic programs, sports tournaments, conferences, conventions, concerts, and other special events. I ensured the facility's safety, cleanliness, and functionality, as well as provided assistance to customers. I also gained valuable skills in facility management (FM) and food and beverage (F&B) operations, which I applied to improve the customer experience and satisfaction. I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to dynamic roles in sports management, human resources, and business, where I can collaborate with diverse teams, support innovative projects, and learn from industry experts. My goal is to grow as a professional and a leader in the sports sector, and to make a positive difference in the lives of people and communities through sports.
