Andre du Plessis has more than 35 years’ experience and is a Professional Engineering Technologist, based in the company’s Centurion office. He is currently an Associate Director, leading the Water Systems team, Africa. He has extensive experience in the broad spectrum of civil engineering field, Bulk water and sewer conveyance, Reservoirs, pumping stations, water and sewer reticulation infrastructure, residential and industrial developments / human settlements and associated municipal services having been based in municipalities (Roodepoort and Centurion) for 17 years and has expanded his expertise further into bulk infrastructure since being in the private sector and working for Clients such as Rand Water and Joburg Water. He has significant experience in engineering designs for commercial and residential / housing developments.He specializes in project management, design, and construction management for water reticulation, sewer reticulation, roads, and stormwater projects. However, he also has significant experience in project management, design, and construction management for wastewater treatment works and bulk infrastructure for water and sewers. He provides technical leadership for rezoning, consent use, sub-division applications, site development plans, and has developed a thorough understanding of all aspects of township development. He also has extensive experience in water conservation and demand management in the municipal sector. He has been responsible for Water and Sewer Network Operations, maintenance, and New Township Infrastructure Development in large municipalities. His experience includes a thorough understanding of township development, design, and contract administration. He also has extensive experience in civil Engineering infrastructure condition assessment projects. He is well acquainted with the relevant township development policies, guidelines and service agreements and the City of Tshwane’s, City of Ekurhuleni’s, and City of Johannesburg civil engineering specifications and design guidelines.Andre’s years of experience and specialized design skills make him an excellent technical leader for design teams, and he develops sound relationships with Clients and project partners for the successful delivery of projects, all over the world.
