Successfully developed Indonesia's first unsolicited utility scale Solar PV PPA of 14.5MWp (with single axis trackers) in Northern Sulawesi, Indonesia; the largest system with single axis trackers in Indonesia. A clean energy executive with a diverse background including engineering and over 20 years of experience in renewable energy, consumer electronics and automotive industry. Worked on more than US$7 billion of projects for multi-national companies on technical product development, project development, energy access projects, new market business strategies, and business development efforts. Founded and leads start up companies including as a head of division that achieved an 8x increase of revenue for the division. In another position as a Vice President and founding executive member, invented an innovative smart grid topology resulting in multi-million-dollar funding round and attracted new company shareholders including two multi-billion-dollar international energy companies. Mr. Susanto continues to focus on innovation and his projects and designs have earned international recognition such as from an ASEAN Energy Award (2020), UNIDO’s Energy Globe Award (2020), and a semi-finalist in Shell’s LIVEWIRE Top Ten Innovators (2020). Founded a social enterprise company that focuses on derisking energy access investments and successfully designed, installed and managed various smart minigrids, solar water pumping, and solar home system leasing projects including management of 11 minigrids serving people. The company has been involved in projects to survey and visit over 400 remote area villages throughout Indonesia. Worked on medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles to design and manage projects related to DC power delivery, systems integration (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls), and mechatronics including off-road vehicles for mining and forestry.
