About Andre Frcek

I am a Materials Engineering student with a minor in physics at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. My academic interests are solid state physics, microelectronics, micro/nano fabrication, and applications of statistical mechanics. I am currently an officer and next year's President for Cal Poly MicroSystems Technology, a role where I am able to explore hands on microelectronics and microfluidics fabrication processes. I am also a project manager for a joint project between Flow Circuits and Microsystems Technology. This role allows me to delve into the world of microfluidics design and testing, all while learning valuable leadership skills.Through my Materials Engineering Education, I have gained extensive experience relating the microscopic properties of materials to observable macroscopic properties. I also have gained extensive experience in materials characterization.In my free time, I love to fish and dive. I am also an avid powerlifter who enjoys wrestling. I love anything that brings me closer to the ocean, as well as all forms of strength training.
