About Andre Herbst

Andre's core belief is - better environments and people lead to better results ("the virtuous cycle") and the pursuit of excellence never stops nor does learning. Having been involved as a founder in several start-ups (including raising VC and investment from a major international technology giant) Andre honed his craft of pioneering new technologies, disrupting old markets as well as creating new ones (with wins and losses along the way). Over the past decade Andre has been involved in successfully contributing to a hyper growth professional services business in the transformation and execution space, from humble beginnings of less than $10M in revenue to that of circa $100M. This was achieved with a team of high performance entrepreneurs and an incredibly talented and motivated team that ultimately lead the business to a successful sale to a multinational in late 2018 (largest professional services transaction in 2018 in Australia). Through this time Andre doubled down on playing to his strengths and finding the place where high performance exists and creating the right environment that is sustainable. Andre’s belief is the intersection of leadership, new ways of working, business agility/Teal and a founder’s mentality is where businesses win and lose in the new economy of constant change and VUCA. “Time is running out for those “orange/ red” organisations and the opportunity for the next generation of leaders to leverage this intersection of incredible tools to decimate traditional models and take advantage of the most prosperous time in human history. These concepts are no longer theory but are out there working, winning and resulting in new style operating. We are truly living in the most incredible era!” Andre is on a personal journey of high performance (the pursuit of teal) built on a founder’s mentality and agile mindset. Having lived in a largely “green business” for over a decade, the lure of “Teal” and the possibilities for everyone involved was the next logical next step. How leaders rock up and creating space for people to be themselves and tier best is fundamental for the shift in creating the right environment for high performance. Recently Andre found his first example of a “Teal” organisation in Australia which outperformed its sector considerably and since has found more and is looking to apply all these experiences to help organisation in their pursuit of growth, excellence and a better way of being. He is passionate about sharing with everyone he is privileged to work with.
