As the General Manager at St. Christopher’s Service Station and Convenience Store, Mr. James led a team that has a passion for service excellence. The organization is a successful ultra-modern service station and convenience store and is a leader in the Retail Fuel Distribution industry. Mr. James has over twenty-five years of knowledge and experience in the fields of Business, Sales and Marketing Management, having successfully managed leading portfolios within the Food, Pharmaceutical, Alcoholic Beverage, Retail, Trading and Distribution, Shipping and Postal industries. In July 2012, he joined the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation’s Senior Management Team as General Manager, Sales and Marketing, where he was charged with the overall responsibility for revenue generation and growth in order to achieve the Corporation’s Vision of achieving economic viability and sustainability. After graduating from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agribusiness Management, Mr. James held various positions with Marketing & Distribution, including; Graduate Trainee, Product Specialist, Brand Manager for Kraft Foods and Marketing Manager in the Pharmaceutical Department. In 2006, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Health and Wellness Committee at the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Commerce. During his tenure at Carib Brewery Limited as the Stag Brand Manager, he maintained and grew the dominant market position and share for Stag Lager Beer. Under his leadership, Stag was recognized as the largest beer brand in the local market and became largest alcohol brand, by volume consumed. In February 2010, he joined Associated Brands Industries Limited as the Marketing Manager for their largest food division, Sunshine Snacks. There he was responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the division’s Marketing and Sales Department for both local and export markets.
