Two years later, I founded Protégé to create and build new global consumer brands. With over four decades in international marketing and sales, I have consistently created, scaled, and exited brands in highly competitive sectors. Independent since 1985, I’ve specialised in FMCG brand creation — first in tobacco, and for the past 20+ years in premium alcohol. Protégé has developed a portfolio of award-winning Irish whiskies, gins, vodkas, liqueurs, Caribbean rums, and also iconic American beers. Every product has secured Best in Class recognition, validating both our product strategy and execution. Beyond liquid innovation, we’ve built scalable IP, licensing frameworks, and international distribution networks that unlock long-term value. My experience spans both supply and agency roles for leading global brands, giving me insight into the full value chain — from production economics to brand equity and route-to-market execution.
