About Andre Luiggi

I’m focused on understanding market dynamics & global trade. My work at ILWU Local 19 connects directly to what I’m studying. Working in the maritime industry has given me practical experience and insight of what goes into supply chains and essential service sectors I learn about in university. My goal is to bring together my academic knowledge, hands-on experience, and multilingual background to work effectively in global markets. I’m interested in roles where I can contribute to building better systems and stronger relations across borders, through strategy & analysis. I grew up between the United States and Germany, splitting my early education between the two countries. This experience shaped how I see the world and gave me a strong foundation in adaptability and cross-cultural understanding. With roots in Germany and Puerto Rico, I’ve always been part of a multicultural and multilingual environment, speaking both German and English fluently with basic Spanish proficiency. I’ve always valued hard work. Whether it was delivering newspapers as a teenager or helping teach German language classes, those early jobs taught me the importance of responsibility, organization, and communication. Today, I’m building on those lessons as I prepare for a career in international business.
