About Andre Paravela

With 20 years of experience in multinational companies and big four firms, I have developed strong expertise in IFRS, BRGAAP, German GAAP, and USGAAP, as well as extensive knowledge of Brazilian legislation and compliance. I hold the credentials of OAB (Brazilian registered lawyer), CRC (Brazilian registered accountant), and CNAI (Brazilian certified independent auditor). I am fluent in English and Spanish, and have foreign experience in Boston, US. I have also completed an ACCA online certification and a MBA in Tax and Finance controlling. My mission is to deliver accurate, timely, and transparent financial information and insights that enable sound decision-making and value creation. As the Controller Americas for Yara International, a leading fertilizer and chemical multinational, I lead the accounting and controlling teams for Yara North America, Brazil, and Latin America. I am responsible for the performance reporting of Yara Americas revenue USD 12 billion business to all corporate stakeholders, and the coordination of business plan and budgeting process. I also oversee the internal controls, governance, and project control teams, and act as a business partner for strategy and corporate teams.
