His diverse background and achievements in fitness, wellness, lifestyle, supply chain management, and global logistics showcase his commitment to personal growth and development. Growing up without much discussion about health and wellness, André's own experiences with health challenges in his family, particularly his grandfather's battle with prostate cancer, ignited a passion within him to promote health, wellness, and self-development. Starting with his humble beginnings at Knox Community College in Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica, André's early exposure to the world of dressmaking from his grandmother's influence provided him with valuable skills and insights that would later shape his career. His transition to the retail industry, at the age of 21, marked a turning point where his involvement in fitness began to transform his outlook on life. In 2007, this newfound passion led him to further education, including a diploma in Marketing and Sales, which set the foundation for his future endeavors. André's progression within the retail sector, culminating in his role as a Retail Buyer and his participation in the Magic Trade Show, equipped him with the expertise and confidence needed to tackle substantial responsibilities. His move to Toronto, Ontario in 2011, in pursuit of his dreams exemplifies his readiness to take bold steps to achieve his goals. His successful journey as a professional bodybuilder, culminating in a third-place win in the novice category, reflects his dedication to physical fitness and his ability to excel in competitive environments. In 2015, André took a significant step by launching his own underwear brand, Steele by Andre Rose. This venture not only showcased his entrepreneurial spirit but also connected him with the Toronto firefighters, leading to a meaningful partnership to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer support and research. His commitment to promoting wellness extended to writing, as he authored the book "Buns. Of. Steel: The Unstoppable Pursuit of Fitness" in 2019. The book aimed to inspire others to pursue their fitness goals, and André's connection with the Walnut Foundation furthered his advocacy for Black men's health and prostate cancer awareness. In 2020, Andre's continuous pursuit of knowledge is evident in his attainment of a diploma in supply chain management and logistics, showcasing his commitment to expanding his skill set and diversifying his expertise.
