About Andrea Bertolini

On the past couple years I worked as adviser on strategic intelligence of the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply of Brazil. As Agricultural Counselor of Embassy of Brazil in Beijing (China), I had the opportunity to work on Agricultural business policies and regulatory framework, to support trade facilitation, to deal bilateral agreements to international market access, to follow international standards and to know about Chinese Customs administration. As scientist at EMBRAPA -Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (Brazil), FONTERRA Research Centre (New Zealand), INRA-French National Institute for Agricultural Research (France), CIRAD- French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (France) and USDA-United States Department of Agriculture (United States) I could work on institutional strengthening and research and innovation implementation of policies of projects in developing countries. I have extensive work experience on Agribusiness trade, food technology research, food safety and food security policies and on international agriculture projects. I also worked directly with the private sector in agribusiness, elaborated reports and analysis about strategic policy and program advice at the Ministerial level and about implementation of Agribusiness Brazilian private sector on China.I enjoy working with dynamic, highly specialized and multi-disciplinary teams, in a multi-cultural environment. I also like working on challenges about innovation, building strategic networks and identifying new opportunities. I am fluent in Portuguese, French and English, proficient in Spanish and I have an intermediate level proficiency in Chinese (mandarin).
