About Andrea Carolan

20+year experienced Registered Dental Hygienist with a passion for learning new technologies and techniques to improve the patient experience for anyone under my care. I have clinical and administrative skills that make me very valuable to any dental team. After 10 years as a hygienist I started to look at dentistry from more of a business stance and realized how my hygiene patient care impacted the office as a whole. Patients leave my room educated and empowered with the knowledge to make their best decisions about their oral and overall health and because of that I contribute a high case acceptance to our office. I coordinate technology such as intraoral photography/digital xrays/cbct and data from the patients perio chart and AI software to communicate those findings to the patient. Many patients say that I help them understand their oral health better than they ever have before and they take action after we figure out what their personal goals are for their future health. I love dentistry as a whole. I love helping offices achieve success. I do feel as if case acceptance is easier for the dentist and office as a whole with a hygienist who communicates and understands patient's points of view and goals. The recent addition of AI software to my current practice is going to be a game changer and I hope to enhance my already efficient patient education techniques by taking patient understanding to the next level.
