About Andrea Day

Victoria University's Nominee: Best Trainer 2018, Victorian Trainer Awards.Learnt the tricks of the trade by working in a range of beauty salons and spas in Melbourne and inner London for ten years. Trained initially at a private RTO, now in the TAFE sector, where I can always access and collaborate with great hard-working mentors.Testimonials from two students, both WorldSkills medallists:Student 1:"Andrea ensured I not only understood what to do in a facial treatment, but also why I was doing it. Andrea always gave clear and insightful explanations about the effects different products had on the skin which equipped me with the knowledge I needed to customise appropriate treatments for a wide range of clients.I thoroughly enjoyed Andrea’s classes as they were engaging, both when completing practical and theoretical exercises. Andrea’s passion for her craft is infectious and she always encouraged me to utilise every resource available to enhance my knowledge and improve my abilities as a therapist.I have always found Andrea to be a passionate, kind hearted, patient and extremely knowledgeable teacher. I also found her to be very relatable as whilst she is teacher, she always made it known that she was a keen student in the field of beauty and skin science."Student 2:"She helped me by always carefully explaining the required task and answering any questions I had, meaning I was more capable of completing the task with high results. She has always encouraged me to take time for myself when required, meaning I was more switched on later. she is patient and caring towards her students. She encourages them to do their best, and she always reminds us that our physical and mental wellbeing is the most important thing."
