About Andrea Hellerman

I am a registered architect and senior facade consultant at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc.(WJE). My work at WJE is concentrated on providing design consultation and construction period services to improve the efficiency and performance of new and existing building enclosures. In addition, I perform diagnostic investigations typically related to glass breakage and discontinuities across an array of building envelope systems. Prior to joining WJE, I worked as a designer and project manager on a wide variety of building typologies including mid-rise and high-rise multi-family residential, mixed-use, retail, institutional, healthcare, education, single-family residential, and historic preservation projects. I currently serve as chair for the AIA Building Enclosure Council Austin Chapter and am involved in the AIA Leadership Collective. Alongside my fulltime work schedule and volunteer positions, I am actively pursuing my Masters in Facade Engineering at the University of the West of England; graduation anticipated 2022.
