About Andrea Marini
I am a PhD in nuclear engineering with reasearch experience in dosimetry, radiation protection, and nuclear measurements, specifically regarding the development and characterization of different dosimetric systems. I have been a Phd student and then a post-doc ad the University of Pisa, Italy, from 2014 to 2020, with periods spent in international research centers (Fermilab, Chicago,USA; Federal University of Sergipe, Aracaju, Brazil). I am the author of several publications on international peer-reviewed journals and I won a prize at the "18th International Conference on Solid State Dosimetry"(Munich, 2016). During my period at the University of Pisa, I also had experiences as a tutor for MEng students for their final research project and dissertation and made seminars and lessons for the courses of Nuclear Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. I am currently a Radiation Protection consultant at U-Series Srl, a company that works in the field of Radiation Measurements and Radiation Protection. My duties range from on-site radiometric and dosimetric measurements to dose and risks assessment and teaching training course on ionizing Radiations and their safe use.
