About Andrea Markley

Andrea is a creative leader, designer, illustrator and portrait artist located in Minneapolis, MN. She is currently leading a Communications and Creative team on the UnitedHealthcare Provider Marketing and Communication team. The Communication and Creative team are a shared service providing messaging and visual strategies for health care professional-focused campaigns using digital channels. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, she held Creative leadership positions within Optum, a UnitedHealthcare sister company within the UnitedHealth Group enterprise. Andrea led a team within both OptumHealth and OptumInsight providing creative direction and execution of all the B2B integrated marketing campaigns. Early in her career, Andrea’s held leadership and consulting roles within the Houseware’s industry. First as Creative Director at Nordic Ware where she executed and directed the design of over 350+ packaging SKUs of cookware and bakeware essentials. Second, Andrea was the lead visual merchandising design consultant for the International Houseware’s Association Global Design Marketplace. This marketplace consisted of inclusion of over 100 companies around the world highlighting high-end products and collections. Andrea spent the balance of her early career as a freelance designer and consultant for companies such as Boys and Girls Club of America, Nordic Ware, Morrie’s Auto Group, The International Houseware’s Association, Acist Medical, Stratford360 and the Town Hall Brewery restaurant group. A large focus of Andrea’s career was also giving back to her community in the form of volunteering. Andrea held positions on the Annunciation Advisory Council as well as Annunciation Parish Council as Vice President. In addition to advisory boards, Andrea chaired various large fundraisers for the school and church.
