About Andrea McCormack

I have been in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis for the last 16 years and been fortunate enough to work at leading edge agencies with mentors at the top of the field, both in Montreal and Toronto. I have worked with over 100 families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am highly trained in conducting functional behaviour assessments, creating and implementing behaviour and academic protocols, assessing target behaviours, and training mediators in effective evidence-based strategies. I have my BCBA designation, and have been licensed to supervise therapists since 2014. I have had the opportunity to supervise the development of my staff and I take great care in their on-going professional development. I have created safe, supportive, fun and inclusive environments for the staff I oversee, and have witnessed the benefits to clients when therapists are able to thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment. I have experience dealing with the many behavioural and educational challenges of clients, team building, training and monitoring of staff, and the ethical and communication considerations that surface when working with parents and on interdisciplinary teams. These are all aspects of the supervisory role I consistently meet with professionalism, creativity and a collaborative spirit.
