Andrea Tolbert is the owner and operator of Absolute Happiness Psychotherapy and Consultation, PLLC, a specialty private practice based in Portland, Maine providing individual and group therapy to Persons identifying as BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and military veterans/service members. Absolute Happiness Psychotherapy and Consultation, PLLC also offers Laughter Yoga for corporate team building or enrichment and private events, Supervision for clinicians seeking licensure and Consultation for agencies, educational institutions, organizations, and businesses. Andrea has extensive experience conducting groups to include psychodynamic process groups, Seeking Safety, Matrix Relapse Prevention, Laughter Yoga, and CBT-I (Insomnia) and she is well trained and experienced in evidenced based practices (EBP’s) to include EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT-Insomnia, Emotional Freedom Technique/EFT (Tapping), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Andrea has received training on Veterans' reintegration issues, has clinical experience working with veterans as a VA employee at the Portland Vet Center November 2015-August 2018, and is a veteran herself, having honorably served in the US Army for 4+ years, including deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Andrea graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from Husson University-Westbrook on May 5, 2018 and uses her MBA education and business experience to provide consultation to individuals and organizations in business development, evaluation, and management. Andrea graduated with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of South Florida (USF)-Tampa on May 2, 2015. In addition to clinical social work, Andrea's studies at USF included achievement of a graduate certificate in Addictions and Substance Abuse Counseling August 2015.
