About Andrea Toni

I’ve a Bachelor degree in civil engineering and a Master’s degree in structural engineering, at the University of Ferrara. From June 2014 to February 2016 I’ve collaborated with a technical study in Ferrara such as structural designer in a prestigious staff of construction engineers and architects. Through this experience, I’ve dealt with the new constructions and existent buildings (post-earthquake recovery, local intervention, seismic improvement), some of that have historical relevance. Mainly, I have treated the technology, the design and the structural analysis method of masonry, concrete and wooden buildings. From February 2016 to February 2020 I’ve been employed as structural engineer in a technical department of mechanic company which manufactures steel and aluminum structures, tents and tensile structures made of PVC membrane. During this experience, I mainly have studied the structural and mechanical design and the industrial production of elements that compose the modular coverings. I’ve dealt with the temporary structures (extensible tunnels, industrial sheds, marquees, shading structures) and the ordinary structures (carports, photovoltaic canopies). Despite my main role was like structural engineer, I had the opportunity of learn more about mechanical modeling of parts and assemblies with 3D software (Solidworks), assembly manuals, inspections and field tests, production and executive technical drawings, quotations, material qualifications and certifications (CE). Since February 2020 I am employed as Field and Project engineer in a company that deals with offshore Projects. This area has always fascinated me particularly. During the Project preparation phase in our office, I'm dealing with- installation procedures, sequences and manuals of salines, pre-commissioning and de-commissioning- installation procedures, sequences and manuals of offshore jackets and topsides. Whilst, during the Project execution phase, I've the great opportunity to follow the operations directly on Vessels board like Field Engineer.
