About Andrea Wecker

I was incredibly fortunate to have discovered a passion for court reporting at the age of 16 and have now spent more than 24 years in the industry as a freelance court reporter, broadcast captioner, CART provider, and agency owner. From 2015 to 2022, I owned Associated Reporting & Video, a full-service litigation support and consulting firm headquartered in Boise, Idaho. I also founded IdaCaption, a captioning company; and ARV Dynamic, a litigation consulting firm. In 2022, ARV was acquired by Veritext, and I now serve in the capacity of Veritext Principal managing Veritext's Idaho offices, reporter liaison in the Pacific Northwest, regular presenter on Veritext partner CEU webinars, and enjoy contributing to many other aspects of the business. I have had the pleasure of serving on many boards and committees throughout my career and am currently the President of STAR. STAR is a progressive, forward-thinking organization working hard to bring much-needed unity to the court reporting industry. I enjoy spending time mentoring students and new reporters, as well as educating the legal community on the important role that court reporters play in our judicial system.
