About Andreas Aamodt

I am a mechanical engineer with a master’s degree in energy and environmental engineering in buildings. Greatly interested in renewable energy technologies and improvements of energy efficiency to reach a sustainable and low carbon future. My mechanical engineering background set me up with a practical problem-solving mind set and provided me thorough training in using physics to characterize and analyse problems. Have experience from using multiple software tools for 3D modelling, FEM, hydraulic- and structural analysis. In my master’s degree, I progressed to study renewable energy systems and HVAC technologies to improve energy efficiency of the building sector. The education has provided me with research experience, and further specialization of studying energy performance of different systems using thermodynamics, heat & mass transfer, and fluid mechanic analysis. Solid experience with different building information modelling software’s like e.g. IDA-ICE and Autodesk Revit.
