About Andreas Birkbak
Andreas Birkbak is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication and Arts, Roskilde University (RUC), Denmark. He is also the Director of the Digital Media Lab there. Prior to joining RUC, Andreas was a co-founding member of the Techno-Anthropology Lab (TANTlab) at Aalborg University for 10 years. In 2016, he completed his PhD in the same place. Andreas also holds an MSc in Social Science of the Internet (University of Oxford) and an MSc in Sociology (University of Copenhagen). His research concerns digital publics and he is the co-editor of the book Democratic Situations (Mattering Press, 2022) and co-author of a book on digital methods in Danish (2017).
