About Andreas Dubs

I am a general manager and senior public affairs executive with more than 30 years’ experience in delivering lasting outcomes across the private sector, governments and international organisations in both Australia and Europe. I am known for my leadership in navigating the interface between government and industry. I can translate the demands of industry into effective messages for consultation and negotiation with stakeholders, and attractive policy options for government regulators. For the past 15 years, I have worked for the Australian poultry meat industry, first as head of the national industry association and more recently for Ingham’s, the largest company in this sector. I enjoy projects involving technical information, strategic business needs and the interaction with people from a range of organisations and different backgrounds. The Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program, whose establishment I led in the early 1990s, is a testament to the great economic potential of sustainable public private partnerships and a highlight of my career. The CRCs remain a vital element of Australia’s R&D infrastructure.
