About Andreas Engels

I am currently a Postdoc in the Tissue Engineering research group at Charité (CCM), working under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Michael Sittinger. In this role, I serve as a scientific project collaborator and engineer within the "3D Printing and 3D Bioprinting" manufacturing sector and DIW). My responsibilities include driving advancements in additive manufacturing technologies, with a specific focus on bioprinting and medical applicaitons. Simultaneously, I hold a Postdoc position in the Microsystem Technology/System Integration research group at TH Wildau, led by Prof. Dr. Rene Krenz-Bååth. I lead the Additive Manufacturing Department specializing in and SLA/DLP, where I drive innovative approaches operating close to regional industry. I am passionate about contributing to cutting-edge research with an open source intent and innovation in the intersection of 3D printing and tissue engineering. Additionally, I take pride in mentoring students on their thesis projects and program-specific assignments, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
