I am currently working on the project "Digital Transformation in Vocational Education and the Role of School Management" in Switzerland. Hardly any other topic recently moves the education system as strongly as the digital transformation. For many schools and organizations, this change represents a challenge with various unknowns: Infrastructure and support, skills and resources of teachers and administration, and especially future technological developments characterize areas for which only limited reliable statements can be made so far. However, experts and literature agree on one thing: the digital change cannot be delegated to the teaching staff, but must be systematically controlled, accompanied, evaluated and developed by the school management as part of a change process.
