About Andreas Johnsson
I am a geomorphologist with an interest in land-surface processes and landforms on Earth and planet Mars. My research interests span from permafrost dynamics on Mars to terrestrial analog studies in the Arctic and astrobiology. My research focus is periglacial and glacial landforms and paleoclimate reconstruction of the Late Amazonian climate on Mars. The main objective of my work is to increase our understanding of the role of water and ice in shaping the Martian landscape in recent geologic history. I am also involved in terrestrial research including long-term monitoring of geomorphologic changes in the high Arctic.
