About Andreas Obermeier

What makes me unique is my long-term experience in the following four areas:(1.) I have done and continue to do IP portfolio prosecution around the world.(2.) I prepare invalidity opinions and FTO analyses.(3.) I oppose patents for some of my clients and defend other patents for other clients.(4.) I gathered deep knowledge of infringement and revocation actions before the Unified Patent Court, European Patent Office, German Patent Office and German Courts. I know the counter-arguments and pitfalls from granting a patent to its enforcement and defence. So I can use them to my advantage. My technical focus is- secondary batteries- medical devices (e.g. catheters, hollow fiber membranes)- novel food (e.g. sugar substitutes, polyunsaturated fatty acids)- protein production (e.g, selection of high producer cell lines)- small molecules (e.g, tapentadol, rivaroxaban)- pharmaceuticals (e.g. sildenafil, adalimumab, nivolumab and ipilimumab), and - process technologies (e.g. catalytic production of acetic acid).
