Current position at Wellington School Qatar: Head of Physical Education (Whole School) • Subject leader for PE from the ages of 3-18 • Managing a department of 7 staff • Professional and personal development portfolio within my current role: https://padlet.com/andrei_clark/andrei-clark-professional-growth-e-portfolio-uxzw7pv5qtltszlj • Lead IV and curriculum coordinator for the Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC Sport course • Previous experience of teaching Edexcel GCSE, AQA GCSE and AQA A-level course • Responsible for coordinating the external extra-curricular sporting provision at the school which has entailed liaising with external sporting providers to establish community sports links with our school (football, gymnastics, badminton and basketball academies are now based on our site for their community clubs) • Leading the design and creation of a high-performance sports centre which will be launched at the school in the 2024 academic year- starting with an inter-curricular football performance academy offering for our high performing students. • Leading on "High Performance Learning" teaching and learning model within the school • Driving and establishing social media presence as a department: Weekly bulletins, gemswsq_pe instagram account, • Established a “MOVEWell” initiative in a bid to put health, fitness, lifestyle and nutrition at the forefront of our student, staff and parent community. • Launched the first edition of a sports performance tour to Dubai with our high performing students in Y7- working alongside the Wellington Schools Cluster in the middle east • Part of a whole school "curriculum development project" working with other subject leads to research latest educational research and trends to re-shape the whole school PE curriculum: intent statements, curriculum map and curriculum overviews forms a piece of work which now outlines a clear pathway of progress within the subject from FS1 to Y13 Previous experiences: • Head of PE at Malvin's Close Primary Academy ages 3-11: Gold Mark Sports award, established a whole school extra-curricular provision, built a successful competitive sports culture which led to regional league wins and cup runs, up-skilled staff by running whole school PE PD, established a local schools fixture programme to increase participation levels. • Teacher of PE/ Cover Supervisor at Benfield School 11-18: Taught core and GCSE PE, led KS3 football squad programmes, national cup semi finalists with Y9 team, led students support groups for disadvantaged students, ledinterventions for GCSEand A-level groups
