Work experience 2015-2021 Started as a UI QA tester/Romanian language specialist (2015-2017), serving a major Top 100 Fortune client onsite, in Cupertino CA. My duties included proof-reading, filing bugs (linguistic, layout, functional), conducting tryouts for Romanian testers across global offices. In 2017 I moved to my client's LA office as a Content Reviewer/Copy Editor (2017-2021). I edited Romanian translations to best convey the message and tone of the original English copy, promoting apps, games, music, movies, and TV shows. I also QA-ed subtitling, coined new terminology, and ensured cultural appropriateness. I had language lead duties, training and overseeing my colleagues, and selecting third-party translation vendor companies. I devised style guides, tryout tests, inclusiveness guidelines, glossaries, etc. 2021-2022 I consulted a DC-based software company that wants to open a coding hub in Bucharest, Romania. My duties: researching and presenting to my client various local staffing agencies, potential workspaces, law, and accounting companies. Various advertising and TV positions in Romania. Translation, proof-reading, copy editing, and transcreation for Reader’s Digest Romania. I ran a TV show as a writer/director for three seasons and directed over 150 TV commercials.
