About Andrei Joldos

My journey into technology began when my mother made a significant sacrifice, working abroad to buy me my first computer at the age of 7. Growing up in a rural area without internet access, I became fascinated with the inner workings of that PC, particularly installing and reinstalling its operating system—Windows XP SP3. It wasn’t until three years later that I could finally connect it to the internet, marking the beginning of my deeper exploration into technology. My passion for IT grew during my university years, where I studied Informatics and volunteered in the University's IT department for 3 years. During this time, I gained hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining various IT devices, including computers, phones, and printers. I also assisted with setting up infrastructure for new IT labs and supported the technology needs of students and faculty. This experience laid a strong foundation for my career. Since then, I have expanded my skill set through various roles, growing expertise in software troubleshooting, Windows deployment, customer support, IT security training, and conference device installation. I’ve also taken on responsibilities such as vendor management and IT asset inventory. Currently, I am focused on advancing my knowledge in Microsoft Azure and further developing my skills. In addition to my IT career, I am a proud volunteer with Garda Apulum, a group that reenacts the Roman Empire period. As a reenactor, I portray a Roman soldier, participating in various shows and festivals where we present military exercises to the public. This experience allows me to combine my passion for history with public engagement. Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy unwinding with video games, playing Airsoft and spending time with friends in quiet settings. I have a passion for learning about topics such as astronomy, engineering, and classic animation. Though my schedule keeps me busy, I take pride in keeping things organized and balanced in my life.
