Andrei Nejur is an architect with an established, award-winning practice, an educator with over 16 years of experience in architectural higher education, a researcher and a digital/generative design expert. He holds an integrated BA+MA and a PhD in Architecture and computation -(with highest distinction) from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and is presently Associate Professor at the University of Montreal Faculty of Environmental Design, School of Architecture in Quebec, Canada. Andrei was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the University of California Berkeley CED where he started developing Ivy for Grasshopper a plugin for mesh segmentation dedicated to generative design and fabrication. Andrei is also a research associate at the University of Pennsylvania working as part of the Polyhedral Structures Lab where he is the developer of PolyFrame a structural form-finding tool working inside Rhinoceros3d.
