About Andrei Rautu

Based on the current job requirements I have developed good troubleshooting/problem solving skills and technical communication skills - as part of our requirements was to liaise between the technical infrastructure and the customers, as well as to provide updates to the customers regarding the on-going impact. I am a fast learner who is motivated by new knowledge and can adapt to new environments. I have completed the study guides for the LPIC 101 and 102 certification exams and took part in a Linux workshop. Having run on my home workstation only Debian systems (previously Ubuntu and now Kali Linux), with the workshop I was also able to work within the RedHat system. As part of the course I've also added two VirtualBox CentOS systems on my home workstation to apprehend the particularities and differences between the distributions. Recently I have started studying data storage technologies and implementations. I have completed two certification from NetApp - Storage Fundamentals and Clustered Data ONTAP Fundamentals and understand key concepts such as storage implementations (DAS, NAS, SAN, Virtualization, Cloud), working with physical and logical volumes,node configuration, RAID configuration, high-availability requirements, protocol requirements (SAN -FC, FCoE, iSCSI; NAS - NFS, CIFS), zoning, Snapshot technology, etc
