About Andrej Majcen

I have been a crypto entrepreneur, executive and investor for well over a decade. In 2013, when Bitcoin was still an emerging asset and Ethereum had yet to launch, I co-founded Bitcoin Suisse. Since then, it has been a pleasure to help guide the business to become a major crypto brand, Switzerland’s largest custodian, and one of the biggest staking operators globally. After serving as Head of Global Expansion and Strategic Clients, I assumed the role of CEO in 2024 and have been leading the company forward into its next phase of international growth. Besides my main role at Bitcoin Suisse, I co-founded Swiss Crypto Vault in 2017, a Bitcoin Suisse subsidiary that stored digital assets in military-style bunkers in the Swiss Alps, which was fully integrated into Bitcoin Suisse in 2021. Same year, I also co-founded Värdex Suisse, which is making crypto assets more accessible to people throughout Switzerland through digital asset vouchers and crypto ATMs. As a regular speaker at blockchain and finance conferences around the world, I actively advocate for the transformative potential of blockchain and digital assets. I believe that our industry is not just reshaping financial markets - it’s laying the foundation for a more inclusive, efficient, and resilient global economy. In relation to that, I wrote a paper about the potential for autonomous cities to adopt cryptocurrencies which was published in the 2025 book “Free Global Cities: The Future Leaders in Migration and Public Governance”.**Please note that I only communicate publicly via LinkedIn and X.
