About Andres Nunez

I started my professional career as a Sanitation and Safety Specialist with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. I spent 4 years at an entry level position and was promoted to Senior Inspector. This position gave me regulatory compliance experience as it was my job to implement Florida Statutes. It also taught me some team building as the best way to get business owners to comply was to have them on my side. In my third year I decided to join the United States Marine Corps and went into the reserves. After my initial training I arrived at 4th ANGLICO in West Palm Beach Florida. Here I served as a Fire Support Man and Joint Fires Observer for 6 years. I also did one tour in Afghanistan with a Georgian Liaison Team. This teams job was to tactically assist and advise Georgian Soldiers while conducting combat operations in theater. The experiences I had in the military made me not only a better leader and team builder, it taught me that not everyone can be effectively lead the same. People respond to different leadership styles and a great leader sees this and adapts. It also started me on the road to program implementation as I served as a Team Chief for 3 years. Having a group of Marines and running the team the way the Team Leader wanted it managed was a challenge but one that was rewarding when successfully implemented. I now work professionally in the supply chain industry for CHEP.
