RAMS/Systems Assurance engineer with over 20 years’ experience in safety and reliability engineering consultancy to a broad range of industrial sectors both in the UK and overseas. These include transportation, defence, aviation and nuclear industries. Undertaken a wide variety of RAMS-related studies including the development and review/audit of safety cases, risk assessments, reliability analysis, systems engineering and safety management systems. Experience within Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) on rail systems. Knowledge of EN 50126, EN 50128, EN50129 and ROGS. Managed staff in RAMS assurance for systems on the Mumbai Monorail project, both rolling stock and signalling, Nottingham Tram Extension, Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Circle Line extension and the London Underground VLU and SSL Rolling Stock upgrades. Undertaken Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and managed Hazard Logs. Also managed sub-contract supplier RAMS documentation. Experience in the day to day management of Rail Signalling systems RAMS activities including the production of Safety Cases and Integration testing of signalling equipment. Experience within the defence environment in all areas of safety, including Hazard Identification and Assessment, Zonal Hazard Analysis (ZHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). Experience within Land Systems in all areas of safety, including Hazard Identification and Assessment, ran Safety Panel meetings and produced appropriate safety documentation.
