About Andrew Braithwaite

In life, there are events and experiences that affect the way you think and feel. It might be something negative like the time when I was 16, driving too fast and crashed my car through a hydro pole with three friends inside. Although injuries were limited to scrapes and frayed nerves, it made me change for the better by improving my driving habits and skills. The first time I held the controls of an airplane as the instructor and I practiced a recovery maneuver, my appreciation for “terra firma” may have increased for an instant, but it also gave me a whole new respect for the process of learning something so well that you can repeat it flawlessly under tremendous pressure. A fortunate outcome of my life adventures has been a merger between the things that I am really good at and the things that I love to do. In some ways, I stumbled into the opportunity to learn, apply and then teach others about financial literacy, but that has turned into a bold and professional stride that continues to gather momentum. As a speaker and presenter, I am energetic and dynamic. This often has the effect of kindling an interest within my audience that did not exist before. When my day ends, I have a feeling of personal fulfillment in knowing that I motivate others to feel empowered to make sound decisions that will have lasting and positive effects in their own lives.
