My name is Andrew Buist, and I am attending St. Lawrence College in the program “Advertising and Marketing Communications Management“. After five years of working construction I came to the realization it’s not what I want to do for the rest of my life. So I took a step back, evaluated my skills and decided this program would be a great fit for me. Throughout my educational career I have learned a lot about my skills, wants and needs in a career. The Career that best aligns with all of those things is sales. My entire life I have always been comfortable being the center of attention. I have always been the one on the team to give the inspirational speeches before a big game and have been known to persuade people to look at things from my perspective. It is true what they say “knowledge is power” because through knowledge you gain confidence and when you are confident with yourself and what you are talking about you make others around you confident in you and your abilities.
